About American Apparel models
Everyone complains that their photos are too sexual & that its only women models who have these sexual photos while all the male photos are more “normal” & well first off its not just AA who does this, but they get singled out the most. Second, it isn’t just the women cause there are photos where the men are showing more/posing sexually. Not as common, yes. But I also would like to think all of these models aren’t doing anything they wouldn’t want to do? So who cares if they pose sexual or show their bodies? If the model is comfortable with it then it is their choice. I for one hate how we shun bodies/sex like its a bad thing yet nudity and sex are everywhere anyway. I also love how AAs female models don’t all have the same body type. They don’t usually wear makeup. If you look close it doesn’t look like they photoshop their photos. I can provide examples too.
Seeing their models has made me want to get into modeling.
I just hate that so many people hate AA. They also promote no sweatshops & they make everything in L.A.
They are a better company imo than places like Forever 21 & shit. I like their clothes although a lot of it is over priced. If you live in/near L.A though they sometimes have events where they sell clothes cheaper. Also amazon is more discounted.
If I am wrong, please correct me. I just don’t think they are what people on tumblr try to make them out to be. There are far worse companies.
Don’t be into trends. Don’t make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way you live.
